College Now Greater Cleveland is a nonprofit whose mission is to increase postsecondary attainment through its mentoring program, which provides college and career advising, financial aid counseling, and scholarship and retention services. The College Now Mentoring Program works to increase college persistence and completion rates for College Now and Say Yes scholarship recipients, aiding traditional college students and adult learners in completing certificate, two-year, and four-year degree programs.

Vela conducted focus groups with College Now staff, mentors, and student mentees to get first-hand accounts of perceptions of the mentoring program, evaluate the quality of relationship between mentors and mentees, and identify potential improvements to the program.

Summary
The report was set up to answer the following questions:
1. How can the College Now Mentoring Program continue to better serve students and improve college persistence and completion rates?
2. What specific College Now activities and supports have the greatest impact on college completion?
